Joshua Luke Smith is a wordsmith packed with ammo. As a poet, rapper and producer, he creates from the mandate to ‘Speak into Chaos’. Joshua has a unique perspective on the world from both education and experience. Born in London but raised in Pakistan, Joshua ultimately settled in Bath, U.K.

20a8 saw Joshua’s TED Talk X released, a U.S and EU tour, two EPs a collaboration with Oddisee and features in Clash Magazine, Complex and BBC 1Xtra. Since then he has released two mixtapes, two Spoken Word pieces that went viral and is currently working on his forthcoming album due early 2021.

British/Jamaican/Nigerian singer-songwriter Bianca Rose has been writing and composing for the best part of a decade.  

Her debut album No Fear Here was part-funded by the PRS for Music Foundation and produced by critically acclaimed jazz musician and producer Femi Temowo, (George Benson, Andrea Bocelli, Amy Winehouse, The Roots, ESKA & Soweto Kinch). No Fear Here is an expansive interpretation of the singer songwriter genre, fusing Bianca’s folk/gospel sensibilities with both Bianca and Femi’s African diasporic perspectives. Bianca adds "These songs are snippets of the lessons I've learned and am still learning. Some people believe that fear is something we should live with, or that we should use it as motivation to achieve our goals. From my experience, I believe it's something to be conquered and routed out of every area of our lives. I try to live on a daily mission to seek and destroy all traces of fear and oppression in my life.  It's the only way that's worked for me."  No Fear Here are now available on all digital platforms.

Reaching the ten-plus year mark in your career as an artist is always a cause for celebration but it also represents a time for renewal. With 2 MOBO Awards and 3 UMAs, eight projects spanning thirteen years, Guvna B is a seasoned veteran who’s found a new direction with his sound.

Over the years, the east London MC has built up a legacy using his artistry as a message of empowerment as well as an embodiment of his faith which has guided him throughout life. Guvna B has just released his latest album everywhere + nowhere and the soundscape and writing he’s exploring shows that his faith is one of many sides to him. In his words, “I felt like I was pigeonholed slightly and as I’m getting older I realised I wanted to talk about broader topics and make music that a lot of people could relate to.”

His latest album, everywhere + nowhere, is inspired heavily by the late American photographer Vivian Maier whose work wasn’t discovered and recognised until after death. Guvna B feels as though it’s an accurate representation of people from his background, from ends, whose stems are cut short before the seeds have had a chance to sprout.

Following the loss of his father in 2017, everywhere + nowhere touches on the fragility of life, grief and bereavement, but there is hope which Guvna B embraces as he approaches this new chapter in his career. Speaking on his loss, he says: “I realised I didn’t deal with it very well and it unearthed a lot of memories that I’d buried and this album is heavily inspired by the mandem from the ends, loss and hope.”

On his ninth full length project, Guvna B enlists a host of the artists leading the contemporary scene with TSB, Wretch 32, Ezra Collective and Barney Artist all lending their own unique imprints on what he believes is one of the biggest moments of his career.

As Guvna B looks forward with hope, he blends his years of wisdom and life experience with an appetite for further understanding and growth as a man and artist. everywhere + nowhere is the beginning of that new chapter.

This is an album for the forgotten people, all of those who find themselves between everywhere + nowhere. Those whose stories were left blank for artists such as Guvna B to bear witness and continue.
